The superstar artiste, David Adeleke known as Davido revealed that he made more than the money he spent on his latest album “Timeless” within three days after its release.
Davido made this known during the media tour for the album “Timeless” in the USA.
While talking he said, “I haven’t even spent $300k on this album “Timeless”. And I made more already in three days. It just shows me the level of where African music is going.”
The album consisting of 17 tracks has established numerous records after it was launched. These include the highest-ranking album by an African artist on US Apple Music and the largest number of streams on its first day of release in the history of Audiomack.
He also mentioned the sum of money he invested in his third album titled “A Better Time.”
The superstar stated that he invested almost $2 million (close to one billion naira) on the album.
Meanwhile, the money was spent on videos, promotions, and features according to him.
In Davido’s words, “My last album, I will tell you, I probably spent $2 million. That is for everything. Do you know what I’m saying?
He appreciated all his fans and promised to keep making them proud.
