Following the expiration of a 72-hour deadline for the zazoo crooner, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, to turn himself in, the Ogun State police command arrested the singer for refusing to comply.

Two videos of the musician cursing and roughhousing Nigerian police officers surfaced on the internet early Tuesday.

Dissatisfied with Mr Okikiola’s behavior toward the officers, the police issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the singer, which is set to expire today, Friday.

The police officers who condemned the singer’s actions also threatened him with prosecution.

Portable claimed in the two videos that an internet fraudster had brought the cops to his bar to arrest staff members “for no reason.”

However, the police stated that they were acting on a petition.

When reached by phone on Friday, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed that the singer had been arrested and was being held at the state police headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

According to Source closed to PRISTINEGIST, the singer will remain in police custody until Monday, when he will be charged in court.
