Chairmanship Aspirant: Ibrahim Bukola Lukman Pledges to Build on Governor AbdulRazaq’s Legacy in Ilorin East

Ilorin East, Kwara State – Ibrahim Bukola Lukman has officially declared his intention to contest in the 2024 Local Council Elections for the position of Local Government Chairman of Ilorin East, as announced by the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWASIEC).

Lukman, a dedicated member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Gambari Ward I, aims to bring his extensive education, experience, and unwavering loyalty to the party to further the progress initiated by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

In his announcement, Lukman emphasized his longstanding commitment to public service and community development. “My passion for public service and community development has driven my active participation in various initiatives aimed at promoting economic growth, good governance, and social justice within our local government and beyond,” he stated.

However, Lukman is determined to apply his dedication and service-oriented mindset to the office of Local Government Chairman.

He highlighted his intention to build upon the significant achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whose work has positively transformed communities across Kwara State.

“One of my primary goals is to complement the remarkable efforts of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq,” Lukman affirmed. “My vision is to further enhance the development and prosperity of our local government by implementing policies and programs that drive economic growth, improve infrastructure, and promote social welfare for all residents of Ilorin East.”

He praised the Governor’s efforts, noting that the groundwork laid by AbdulRazaq has made the role of incoming Local Government Chairmen considerably easier. “Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has made the work of any incoming Local Government Chairman considerably easier with the developments already seen across all the Local Governments in Kwara State. Complementing his already established good works is one of my top priorities,” Lukman added.

Lukman is calling for the support of the entire Ilorin East community, party stakeholders, and all members of the APC. He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in securing victory in the upcoming elections. “Together, we can build a strong and united front that will ensure the APC’s victory. With your support, we can mobilize the necessary resources and grassroots backing needed to win and deliver on our promises to the people,” Lukman urged.
