Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrasak Smiles As Kwara Students Land in Singapore To represent Nigeria

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasak’s commitment to education in Kwara State continues to yield remarkable results as Kwara students prepare to represent Nigeria at the 2024 World School Debate, known as the Odham Cup, in Singapore.

The prestigious event will take place at Anglo-Chinese Junior College, Singapore. This significant achievement was announced via the social media handle of Yinka Fafoluyi (solace), the senior special assistant to the Kwara State governor on new media.

However, it marks the second time that Kwara students have earned the honor of representing Nigeria at the global debate competition.

Last year, Kwara State clinched victory at the 63rd edition of the presidential debate in Abuja for the second consecutive time, reaffirming its dominance in the competition, which features participants from across the federation.

Meanwhile, the selection of Kwara students to represent Nigeria underscores the state’s commitment to academic excellence and the nurturing of young talents in public speaking and critical thinking.

Nevertheless, this also reflects the efficacy of Governor Abdulrasak Abdulrahman’s educational policies in promoting and supporting the intellectual development of students in Kwara State.

As the Kwara students gear up to compete on the international stage, their participation serves as a testament to the state’s investment in education and its determination to foster a generation of skilled debaters and global ambassadors.

Stay tuned for updates on their performance at the Odham Cup as they represent Nigeria with pride and distinction.
