Kwara North is doubly stricken with grief as it mourns the passing of Alhaji Suleiman Mora Omar, fondly known as the Madawaki of Kaiama, who bid farewell to this world at the age of 86 on April 16, 2024.
The deceased is a Prince of Kaiama Meanwhile, his son, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, representing Kwara North District, mourns the loss of his beloved father.
Alhaji Omar’s legacy as a seasoned administrator and devoted public servant spanned over three decades in the Kwara State local government. His contributions, marked by integrity and dedication, left an indelible mark on the community he served.
His role as a local government Councillor and secretary to the Kwara State Pilgrims board exemplified his commitment to public welfare.
Alongside his professional endeavors, Alhaji Omar was a pillar of strength and wisdom within his family. He is survived by his loving wives, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, including Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, whose own journey in public service reflects the values instilled by his esteemed father.
As Kwara North mourns the loss of the Madawaki, it also extends its heartfelt Condolences to the Emir of Kaiama, H.R.H Alhaji Muazu Shehu Omar, Bagidi Kiyaru IV; Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar and his family during this time of profound loss.
