Kwara State Referees Appreciate Sports Commission Chairman for Support

The Kwara State Referees released an appreciation statement to express their sincere gratitude to the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, for his invaluable support.

On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the chairman provided a high-quality bus for the council’s contingent to travel to Benin City, Edo State, for the Nigerian National League (NNL) and Nigerian Nationwide League (NLO) seminar and fitness test.

The contingent, consisting of referees selected for both leagues, acknowledged the importance of the transport assistance, which enabled them to attend the seminar and fitness test with ease and comfort.

These sessions are crucial for the referees to stay updated on the latest regulations and maintain their physical and mental sharpness, both necessary to officiate at national competitions.

In the statement, the Referees Council extended their profound thanks to Mallam Mogaji, emphasizing his continuous dedication to sports development in Kwara State, especially his unwavering support for the referee body.

“We are immensely grateful to the Executive Chairman, Mallam Bolakale Mogaji, for his consistent backing and for ensuring that the contingent traveled in a safe and comfortable manner. His gesture reinforces his commitment to the well-being and progress of referees in the state,” the statement read.

This timely intervention, according to the council, further strengthens the chairman’s reputation as a key advocate for the advancement of all aspects of sports in Kwara State, including officiating. His support is seen as a motivator for referees to maintain the highest standards of professionalism in their duties across the NNL and NLO competitions.
