Manchester United severs ties relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United has finally severed its relationship with Christiano Ronaldo. The club announced in a statement on Tuesday.

The development can’t be unconnected to the controversial interview the five-time Ballon D’or had with British veteran Journalist Piers Morgan.

“Manchester United announced the end of their relationship with Ronaldo by ‘mutual agreement’.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.

The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well in the future.

Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.” the statement reads.

Ronaldo is currently in Qatar with Portugal’s National team. They will face Ghana in their opening game on November 24.
