Naira Redesign: Kaduna Churches Lose Millions As Tithes, Offerings Reduce

With the scarcity of fresh notes and the inability to transfer money from banks due to a network issue, church tithes, and offerings have continued to decline.

Members of certain churches in Kaduna have reported seeing a decline in tithes and offerings as a result of the expense of going to their places of worship.

The pastor of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, North Central 2 area Barnawa, Dr. Sunday Owolabi, bemoaned the low contributions made because of a lack of funds and sincerely begged for the replacement of our leaders.

According to Pastor John David, another pastor in one of the generational churches, they used to collect between N1.2 million and N2.5 million in tithes and offerings, but due to the nation’s severe financial shortage, they are now only receiving between N20,000 and N50,000.

He bemoaned the fact that the church had not received any concrete revenue since the cash policy began, therefore January’s domestic staff pay had not been paid.

Moreover, John Moses, the Assembly Pastor at Dunamis Church in Television to Kaduna, claimed that fewer people are joining the church in addition to a decline in tithes and offerings.

He claims that the majority of the members are dissatisfied with the cost of getting to church, starvation, and other significant problems.
