Tinubu is the best candidate, Alagbede explains

AbdulRaheem Jamiu Alagbede, the former Speaker of the Nigerian Association of Life Science Students(NALSS), has asserted that Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best candidate for the 2023 presidential election.

Today, in an exclusive interview with www.Pristinegist.com, Alagbede described Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of APC to be a leader and politician who is selfless, hardworking, and dedicated to Nigeria as a country.“Tinubu is the best candidate,” he affirmed.

He said with Tinubu’s political wisdom, the security crisis would be combated as he did when he was the governor of Lagos State. “Tinubu is the man who can solve the current national security crises”, he said.

“Let’s talk about the security situation in Lagos before he became the Governor in 1999.
The security situation in Lagos was so bad that armed robbers would write to the streets that they were coming to rob and they would come, yeah it was this bad! But Jagaban came in and tackle the insecurity in the state.
Despite being the most populous state in Nigeria, Lagos has no history of terrorism, banditry, and insurgency. From initiating and equipping the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), an anti-crime unit in Lagos, to solving the internecine war between motor park managers.”

He further said Tinubu is the architect of new economic growth and development of Lagos State when he became the Governor of the state.

“When Bola Ahmed Tinubu became the Governor of Lagos state. Lagos State’s IGR rose from 600 million nairas per month to over 8 billion nairas per month. He had an impressive track record as a governor; his state contributed more than 30 percent to our country’s GDP, accounted for more than 65 percent of industrial investment in Nigeria, 80 percent of its international trade, and collected more than 60 percent of the country’s value-added tax. Impressive right?? You see, BAT is so brilliant, his achievements can never be over-emphasized.”

He added that Tinubu initiated some educational policies that are indispensable to Lagos and its people.

“To talk about Tinubu-led government free education scheme.
In the year 2000, Tinubu activated the provision of free education in all public primary and secondary schools including payment of WAEC/NECO fees as well as all internal examination fees to ensure that indigent children do not drop out of school.
In 1999, Tinubu initiated and commenced the era of reform, rehabilitation, and rebuilding of the education sector in the state to make public schools, especially at the primary level, attractive to the populace and also rehabilitation of primary and secondary schools in all Divisions of the state through the Schools Rehabilitation Program, massive construction of school furniture and equipping of laboratories.
There was a year, I think 1999, Bola Ahmed Tinubu ordered that his monthly basic salary be paid to four rehabilitation centers until further notice. Between 2006-2007, Tinubu activated the injection of massive funds to the tune of N1 billion for LASU, coupled with many others he has done.”

“Tinubu has selflessly helped a lot of people to attain greater heights than himself even though some of them are his biggest adversaries today,” he said.

“Judging by his proven track records and what he has put in it, Tinubu is the most qualified candidate for the office,” he concluded.
