On Wednesday night, a group of unidentified gunmen invaded Gowon’s estate in the Alimosho area of Lagos State
The attack left three people dead and one injured.
The police have begun an investigation into the incident as the reason behind the attack remains unknown.
The incident was reported at 11:35 pm when the estate received a distress call.
The police immediately dispatched two patrol teams to the scene to control the situation.
Their mission at 41 Road, Union Bank Block was still unknown, but the Police had begun an investigation into the incident.
A spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hudenyin, said the incident happened at about 11.35 pm.
During the investigation, the police recovered nine expended cartridges and a bunch of keys.
An unknown male body was found at the Igando General Hospital and taken to the Mainland General Hospital in Yaba for preservation and autopsy.
Family members of two deceased male bodies took them away from the scene.
One male survivor, Doba Ngoze, is receiving treatment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Idi-Araba.
Further updates on the investigation are yet to be disclosed by the authorities.
