18-Year-Old And Others In Lagos Arrested For Armed Robbery

According to a statement released on Saturday by the state police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects, who are members of two distinct armed robbery gangs well known for robbing unsuspecting victims of their valuables in the Ajegunle and Alaba-Rago areas of the state, were apprehended in various parts of the state.

The suspects were found with one unregistered TVS motorcycle, one locally produced rifle, one Infinix Note 7, and one iPhone 7, according to Hundeyin.

In the Ajegunle and Alaba-Rago districts of Lagos State, detectives from the Lagos State Police Command announced the arrest of six armed robbers from two distinct gangs who were known for robbing their unwary victims of their belongings.

“The arrest came as a result of quick investigations into allegations of the thieves’ actions in the vicinity.

“The suspects: Chukwuemeka Emmanuel ‘m’ aged 21, Chukwuebuka Innocent ‘m’ aged 24, Umaru Isah ‘m’ aged 21, Emmanuel Ita ‘m’ aged 19, Olayitan Ayinde ‘m’ aged 18 and Moshood Ayinde ‘m’ aged 25 were arrested in different areas of the state, while efforts are being intensified to arrest other fleeing members of the gangs and recover other weapons.

“The suspects were found to be in possession of one unregistered TVS motorcycle, one locally made pistol, one Infinix Note 7, and one iPhone 7. At the conclusion of the inquiry, suspects will be arraigned.

In order to help the police further clear the state of crime and criminality, Lagosians are urged to immediately report any suspicious activities in their communities to the police, according to CP Idowu Owohunwa, the commissioner of police for Lagos State Command.

For armed robbery, authorities have detained Olayitan Ayinde, age 18, Chukwuemeka Emmanuel, age 21, Chukwuebuka Innocent, age 24, Umaru Isah, age 21, Emmanuel Ita, age 19, and Moshood Ayinde, age 25.
