27-Year-Old Suspected Cultist Arrested With Firearms And Charms In Orile
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old suspected cultist, Ahmed Ololade, also known as Small Mercy, in Orile Division.
According to a statement by the command, the suspect was nabbed on Saturday, December 2, 2023, by officers of Orile Division, who acted on a tip-off from a reliable source.
The officers recovered from him one locally made pistol, two single barrel shotguns, six live cartridges, seven live 7.65mm ammunition, one live 9mm ammunition, two axes and charms.
The statement said that the suspect confessed to being a member of a notorious cult group that has been terrorising the Orile area and its environs.
The statement added that the suspect also revealed the names and locations of some of his accomplices, who are now at large.
The command said that investigation is ongoing and that the suspect will be charged to court as soon as possible.
The command also urged the public to report any suspicious activities or persons to the nearest police station or call the emergency numbers 112 or 767.
