On Monday, Kwara State firefighters pulled Jamiu Sikirat’s, 57, Dead body from a well in ilorin.
Sikirat from the Ile-Agunko neighborhood in the Adeta Local Government Area fell into the well on Monday at 6:42 p.m.
Muhammad Jamiu, a resident of the neighborhood, called the state fire department to report the event, according to Hassan Adekunle, a spokesman for the agency.
Adekunle said, “Firemen were able to recover the dead body from the well and later handed it over to one Alfa Abdulganiyu Akuko, a family member of the deceased, in the presence of Nigerian police officers from Adewole Division Ilorin.”
The state fire service Director, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, expressed sadness over the incident and urged the general public to desist from sending underage children to fetch water from wells.
