84-Year-Old Father Of Seven Kills Wife For Refusing Sex

A 75-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her husband for denying him sex in Edo State. The police arrested the 84-year-old suspect, Gabriel Uhuwa, on Wednesday and paraded him along with 198 other suspects involved in various crimes.

According to the police spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, Uhuwa had been having marital problems with his wife over her refusal to sleep with him. He said Uhuwa claimed that his wife was unfaithful and that he had reported the issue to their children and relatives, but to no avail.

Nwabuzor said Uhuwa confessed to hacking his wife with a cutlass on Saturday afternoon in their house. He said Uhuwa showed no remorse and justified his action as the best solution to his problem.

Uhuwa told journalists that his wife always declined his sexual advances and gave excuses of being sick or having an ulcer. He also alleged that his wife was sleeping with pastors and that his children stopped sending him money and answering his calls because of her influence.

He said he regretted killing his wife after committing the crime. In conclusion, he said he wanted people to know what he did because he was angry and frustrated.
