Osun APC Expels 84, Including Aregbesola Faction Chairman

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) recently expelled a total of eighty-four members.

The majority of these individuals were associated with the defunct Osun Progressives group.

Notable figures among the expulsions include Rasaq Salinsile, Chairman of the faction that supported former governor Rauf Aregbesola, as well as Biyi Odunlade and Temilade Olokungboye.

However, both Odunlade and Olokungboye had accepted appointments from present Governor of the state, Governor Ademola Adeleke.

In a statement signed by the State APC chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, the expulsion was based on allegations of anti-party activities and misconduct.

The State Executive Committee formed a Disciplinary Committee to investigate these claims, and after careful consideration of the evidence and recommendations, the decision to expel these members was made.
