Radio Kwara, Herald Newspapers’ Leadership Reappointed by Kwara Governor

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has given his endorsement for the reappointment of Mr. Tajudeen Kayode Aremu and Mr. Yomi Clement Adeboye as General Managers of Radio Kwara (Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation) and the Herald newspapers respectively.

Aremu, a resident of Ilorin, skillfully led the state’s official broadcaster until May 29, 2023, achieving remarkable success. Similarly, Adeboye, a proficient wordsmith from Esie in Irepodun local government, brought his expertise to the Herald.

Adding to this achievement, Mr. Razaq Ayobami Akanbi has been appointed as the new General Manager for Kwara Television. A seasoned bureaucrat, Akanbi, hailing from Oke Ode in Ifelodun Local Government, previously served as the Director of State Information Services at the Kwara

State Ministry of Communications. His extensive experience also includes roles as Director of Information at the Kwara State House of Assembly and former Deputy Chief Press Secretary in the Government House Ilorin.

Governor AbdulRazaq’s selections reflect a harmonious blend of experience, brilliance, interpersonal skills, integrity, and discipline. Akanbi, who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language from the University of Ilorin and a postgraduate diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism Abuja, received his foundational and secondary education in Port Harcourt and Kano cities respectively.

Additionally, the Governor sanctioned the appointments of Alhaji Danmaigoro Zubair Ibrahim as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Religion (Islam) and Timothy Oluwagbemiga Akangbe as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Religion (Christianity).

These individuals had previously served in these capacities as Special Assistants on Religion (Islam/Christianity) until May 29, 2023, when their roles concluded with the dispensation.
