Outrage Among Fans As Man United IG Handler Posts Messi As “The GOAT”

A controversial post by the official Manchester United Instagram account has sparked outrage and backlash among Cristiano Ronaldo fans and Manchester United supporters.

The post, which was uploaded on Friday, featured a picture of Lionel Messi, the star player of Inter Miami CF and Argentina, with the caption “the goat 🐐🤩”, implying that he is the greatest of all time (GOAT) in football.

The post was seen as a snub and an insult to Ronaldo, who is widely regarded as Messi’s rival and one of the best players in history. Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nassr FC, was a former Manchester United player and won many trophies and awards with the club.

Many Ronaldo fans and Manchester United fans expressed their anger and disappointment in the comments section of the post, calling it unprofessional, disrespectful, and biased. Some even threatened to unfollow the account or boycott the club.

One user wrote: “How can you disrespect Ronaldo like that? He is a legend of this club and he is better than Messi. Delete this post now or lose millions of fans.”

Another user commented: “This is a disgrace to Manchester United. You are supposed to support your own players, not your rivals. Messi is not the goat, Ronaldo is. Shame on you.”

Some users also pointed out that the post was insensitive and inappropriate.

The post has since yet to be deleted by the Manchester United Instagram account, and sparked a heated debate among football fans on social media.

Manchester United has not issued any official statement or apology on the matter as of the time of filing this.
