Putin Gives Advice On How To Find A Soulmate

Russian President Vladimir Putin had an unusual conversation with a nuclear scientist about how to choose a wife during his visit to the Baksan Neutrino Observatory in the North Caucasus on Friday.

The scientist, who was not identified by name, told Putin that he was looking for a wife who was an architect, because he believed that she would understand the beauty of the universe as he did.

Putin, who is divorced and has two adult daughters, questioned the scientist’s logic and suggested that he should not limit himself to a specific profession.

“She must think in images. I see. You know what, just as your institution should not be limited to some kind of stereotypes, you too – do not limit yourself to the stereotypes that she must be an architect, and that’s it. Otherwise you will run into some kind of wall. Select a person who thinks in images, and this can be a person from a variety of professions,” Putin said.

The president also joked that finding a wife might be more important than studying neutrinos, which are elusive subatomic particles that can pass through matter.

“It is not known what is more important. No, I’m not joking: you come across some girl who’s not very keen on science, and what will you do? You’ll forget about neutrinos, right?” Putin said.

The scientist replied that he had found a formula for his ideal partner and promised to take Putin’s advice into account.

Putin’s visit to the observatory was part of his tour of the North Caucasus region, where he also inspected the progress of several infrastructure projects and met with local officials and religious leaders.
