Lionel Messi Buys $10.8M Waterfront Home In Fort Lauderdale

Lionel Messi, the world-renowned soccer star and World Cup champion, has purchased a $10.8 million waterfront home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in an off-market deal.

The 10,486-square-foot property, located at 91 Compass Lane, is in the exclusive Bay Colony gated community. It features eight bedrooms, 9½ bathrooms, a three-car garage, a pool and two docks.

The home is also conveniently close to the Inter Miami soccer stadium, where Messi plays for the team co-owned by David Beckham and other investors. Messi joined Inter Miami in July, after winning the World Cup for his native Argentina in December.

The home was designed by Lori Morris and showcased in Florida Design magazine. It boasts a 27-foot-high domed ceiling, a chef’s kitchen, a home gym and spa, an entertaining lounge, a home office and a massive 1,600-square-foot master bedroom suite.

Messi bought the home from John and Stacy Dickerson, who paid $9 million for it in May 2022. Samuel and Donna Simpkin, of Compass, represented Messi in the transaction.

Messi also owns three luxury condos in Sunny Isles Beach, The Real Deal reported.

Messi is currently with the Argentina squad in Bolivia for a South American World Cup qualifier. It’s not clear whether or not the superstar will be too “tired” to play, according to reports.
