Obi Mourns The Death Of Rising Music Star Mohbad

 

The death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has sent shockwaves across the nation, especially among his fans and admirers. The young and talented musician was reportedly killed in a robbery attack on his way to a concert in Lagos on Monday night.

 

Among those who have expressed their condolences and grief over his demise is PO, a prominent politician and former governor of Oyo State. In a statement issued on Tuesday, PO said he was deeply saddened by the loss of Mohbad, who he described as a promising talent in the nation’s music and entertainment industry.

 

“On behalf of my family, I condole with the mother and entire family of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, Mohbad, over his painful demise. I know how difficult it is for parents to lose a child, especially one with such a promising future as his,” PO said.

 

He also called on the government and the security agencies to probe the circumstances that led to his untimely demise and to leave no stone unturned in unraveling the circumstances surrounding his death.

 

“With his demise, the nation has lost a promising talent in our growing music and entertainment industry. I pray God to grant him eternal rest, and grant his parents, family, and teeming fans the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss,” he added.

 

Mohbad was a rising star in the Nigerian music scene, known for his catchy songs and collaborations with other popular artists. He was signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Music label in 2019 and had released several hit singles and an EP titled “Light” in 2020. Also, he was nominated for several awards, including the Headies Next Rated category in 2021. He was 24 years old.
