Girl Attempts To Poison Foster Mother After Hearing Voices In Her Sleep

A 13-year-old girl has been arrested for allegedly trying to poison her foster mother with insecticide in Lagos, Nigeria. The girl, identified as Precious Okome, confessed that she put some drops of the toxic substance into the food flask of her foster mother, Mrs Stella Iheanacho, who is a teacher at Ibeku High School.

According to the girl, she was acting on the instructions of a man named Ijele, who talks to her in her sleep. She said that Ijele told her to kill her foster mother, who had been taking care of her since she was six years old. She also said that she did not intend to eat the poisoned food herself, as she knew it was harmful.

The incident came to light when Mrs Iheanacho noticed a strange smell from her food and alerted the school authorities. The girl was then interrogated and admitted to her crime. She was handed over to the police for further investigation. The police suspect that the girl may be suffering from a mental disorder and have referred her to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation.
