Nurse’s injections suspected to cause singer Mohbad’s death, police say

The Lagos State Police Command has revealed new details about the death of popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, who died on September 12, 2023.

According to the Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, who addressed the press on Friday at the state Command headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos, Mohbad was injected three times by a nurse named Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, who was invited by the singer’s friend, Ayobami Sodiq, also known as Spending.

The CP said that the injections were believed to have triggered adverse reactions that led to Mohbad’s death. He said that the singer started vomiting and developed goosebumps shortly after receiving the injections.

The CP also said that Mohbad was brought in dead to the hospital and was confirmed dead by the doctors on duty.

He said that the police have interviewed 26 witnesses so far, including Mohbad’s family members, wife and manager. He said that the investigation is still ongoing and that the nurse and the friend are in custody.
