Man Shot Neighbour And Stepson Dead Over Noise

A father and his stepson were shot dead by their enraged neighbor in a Brooklyn apartment building over a noise complaint on Sunday night, according to police and a shocking video obtained by The Post.

The video shows the suspect, identified by police as Jason Pass, 47, confronting his upstairs neighbors, Bladimy Mathurin, 47, and Chinwai Mode, 27, in the hallway of the fourth floor of 1418 Brooklyn Ave. in East Flatbush.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. at the housing complex where celebrities Barbra Streisand and Michael K. Williams grew up.

The video has no audio, but witnesses told police that Pass had been complaining about loud music coming from Mathurin’s apartment.

Mathurin, a school bus driver and a bodybuilder, came out of his apartment with a pair of scissors and argued with Pass, who was armed with a handgun.

Mathurin’s wife tried to pull him away, but he pushed her back and turned around to walk back to his apartment.

That’s when Pass opened fire and shot Mathurin in the back, causing him to fall to the floor.

Mode, who was also in the hallway, attempted to flee from the gunman, but Pass chased him and shot him multiple times, including twice after he had collapsed near a staircase.

Pass then walked back to Mathurin, who was still alive and struggling to get up, and shot him again at point-blank range on his own doorstep.

The video shows Pass calmly walking away from the scene after killing both men.

Police arrived shortly after and found Mathurin and Mode lying in pools of blood. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Pass was arrested at his apartment and charged with two counts of murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

He was arraigned on Monday and ordered held without bail.
