FA chairman challenges banks

Abdullahi Idris Thuraya, the FA chairman of Kwara State has affirmed that banks should consider the area of sponsorship instead of only marketing to support football programs.

Thuraya, who was one of the top guest dignitaries during ‘End of the Season and Award Ceremony at the Kwara under 12 YEG league’ appreciated the organizers of the league— most especially their chairman Ibrahim Jatto for their efforts in promoting football and developing young talented footballers in the state.

He congratulated the players and advised them to be disciplined, in fact he elucidated the contextual and conceptual meaning of ‘discipline’.

Giving his speech, he appreciated Fidelity Bank for opening free account for the players and admonished them that they should check the area of sponsorship not just marketing. He said, “ pls Fidelity Bank, don’t just be opening account for these players but sponsor the league, sponsor the players. This will also market and promote your company. “Every sponsorship brings about profitable results”.
