A Nigeria Police officer, Mrs Utabor Helen, who serves under Edo Unit, has appealed to the public for financial assistance, as she requires N1.5 million to treat her leg that was fractured in a hit and run accident.
Mrs Helen was performing her duty as a traffic officer when a driver who violated the traffic rules hit her and fled the scene. She sustained serious injuries and was taken to three different hospitals, but none of them could offer her the necessary treatment due to lack of funds.
Mrs Helen is the same policewoman who featured in a viral video on the internet, where she was seen shouting for help as a driver who she had arrested tried to abduct her. The video has been widely used by comedians, skit makers and musicians, such as Asake.
