Loneliness: Woman Regrets Joining Feminism, Cries For Husband And Children

A 38-year-old woman, Melissa Persling, has expressed her regret over ending her marriage and pursuing a career instead of having a family. She said she felt “betrayed by feminism” and feared she had missed her chance to have a child.

Persling shared her story in an article for Business Insider and an interview with Fox News Digital, where she broke down in tears. She said she married a traditional man at 22 and moved to a rural town in Idaho, but soon became unhappy with his expectations of her as a wife and mother.

She divorced him at 30 and enjoyed a single life of parties and dates, but realized she was not fulfilled. She said she felt “panic-stricken” at 38 and wanted to find a stable relationship and have a child. She said she met a man who was “the one that God’s been preparing for me” and was ready to settle down.

She said she was looking forward to a modest and meaningful future with him, and that she believed happiness came from relationships and not from self-indulgence. She also said she blamed feminism for making her think negatively about marriage and motherhood.
