APEF Celebrates Leadership with Gov. AbdulRamah, Prof. Fatai Aremu, Others

In a momentous event held at the Banquet Hall, GRA Ilorin, the Asa Progressive Elite Forum (APEF) orchestrated an intellectual program and awards ceremony today.

Dignitaries gathered to celebrate the outstanding efforts of individuals fostering unity and development in Asa and Kwara State.

The opening remarks by Hon Yinus Bello Onboki set a tone of gratitude, acknowledging the esteemed presence of high-caliber individuals. He commended the organizers, stating that the occasion marked a historic milestone for Asa.

However, the intellectual segment featured lectures by Hon Oba Abdulkadir, the tenth majority leader of Kwara House of Assembly on good governance, and Alh Mubarak Idris, FCA, on the pivotal role of youth in politics and governance.

Notable awards were presented to exemplary figures, including Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for Excellent Governance, Prof Shehu Raheem Adaramaja for Spotlight Achievement, Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu as the Youngest Spotlight Achiever, and Muktar Tolani Shagaya as the Emerging Legislative Star. Hon Yahaya Seriki received the Philanthropist Personality of the Year award.

A moment of distinction was reserved for Professor Fatai Ayinde Aremu, recognized with the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award.

As a professor of Political Science at the University of Ilorin and CEO of Research Enterprise Systems (RES), Prof. Aremu’s contributions were lauded on the grand stage.

In particular, Professor Fatai Aremu, a globally renowned researcher and facilitator was celebrated for his outstanding accomplishments in the areas of Policy-Oriented Research, Strategic Studies and Leadership Capacity Development.

The awards, symbolizing excellence in various fields, were shared on stage, and graciously received by the awardees and their representatives.

The Asa Progressive Elite Forum’s initiative not only celebrated accomplishments but also aimed to inspire others to emulate the exemplary contributions made by these distinguished individuals in the service of Asa and Kwara State.
