BREAKING: Nigerian Singer And Son Of Politician Zuwa Shot Dead in US

The Nigerian music industry is in mourning as one of its rising stars, Osazuwa Agbonayinma, popularly known as Zuwa, has been shot and killed in the United States of America. Zuwa was one half of the Afrobeat duo Roze, alongside his brother Eghosa.

According to his father, Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma, a former Nigerian lawmaker, Zuwa was killed by a shot in the back of the head on Sunday. He confirmed the tragic news to Entertainment News on Channels Television, but did not reveal the details of the incident. He said he was devastated by the loss of his son, who also had a master’s degree in Architecture.

Zuwa and his brother Eghosa, who are based in the US, formed the duo Roze in 2014 and released several songs, including the hit single ‘Ileke’ in 2020. The song received rave reviews from fans and critics alike and was nominated for several awards. The duo was also working on their debut album, which was expected to be released this year.

The Nigerian music community has expressed shock and sadness over Zuwa’s death and has sent condolences to his family and fans. Many celebrities, including Davido, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, have paid tribute to the late singer on social media and called for justice. The police in the US are yet to make any arrests or release any information regarding the case.
