BREAKING: Police Gun Down Notorious Bandit Kingpin In Abuja

In a daring operation, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has eliminated one of the most wanted bandits in the country, Isa Dei-Dei, in a shootout in the outskirts of Abuja.

According to a statement issued by the force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, the intelligence response team of the NPF received a tip-off about the location of a notorious bandit group operating in the federal capital territory (FCT) on Monday.

Acting on the information, the operatives stormed the hideout of the criminals on Wednesday, but were met with heavy resistance as the bandits opened fire and attempted to flee.

“The operatives immediately went after them, which led to a fierce gun duel,” Adejobi said.

“In the process, the notorious Isa Dei-Dei was neutralised while other members of the syndicate managed to escape with gunshot injuries.”

Adejobi appealed to the public, especially medical personnel, to report any suspicious person with bullet wounds to the nearest police station.

He assured that the NPF was committed to ensuring the security of lives and property in the FCT and the nation at large.

Isa Dei-Dei was the leader of a bandit group that was responsible for several kidnappings and robberies in Abuja and its environs.

One of his recent atrocities was the abduction of Mansur Al-Kadriyar and his six daughters from their home in Zuma 1, Bwari area of Abuja on January 2.

The bandits demanded a huge ransom for the release of the victims, but later freed the father to source for the money.

After 18 days in captivity, the remaining five girls were rescued by the police on January 21.

The NPF has vowed to track down and arrest the remaining members of the bandit group and bring them to justice.
