Tragedy in Frienship: Man Arrested for Murder and Theft of Childhood Friend’s Motorcycle

In a shocking turn of events, the Ondo State Police Command has apprehended a 39-year-old individual, accused of the heinous murder of his childhood companion, a 34-year-old evangelist. The suspect, after allegedly committing the act, is said to have sold the victim’s motorcycle for N130,000.

The crime, which occurred on March 15, 2024, in the vicinity of Ondo town, involved the suspect and an accomplice, who remains at large. According to reports, the duo lured the victim under the pretense of inspecting a plot of land, only to brutally attack him in a secluded area.

The suspect, upon arrest, expressed remorse, citing inexplicable influences for his actions. Despite a history of theft, this marks his first violent offense. The police, led by the Commissioner, have since recovered the victim’s remains and are pursuing the remaining suspects, warning the public of the dangers posed by such criminal elements.
