Bobrisky Under Arrest for Lavish Naira Note Display at Movie Premiere

Lagos, April 4, 2024 — Operatives from the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have launched an investigation into the flamboyant display of Naira notes by controversial social media personality, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky. The 31-year-old influencer is accused of spraying wads of new Naira notes at the premiere of the Nollywood movie Ajakaju, produced by actress and filmmaker Eniola Ajao.

The video footage from the movie premiere, which took place at the upscale Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos on March 24, 2024, caught the attention of the EFCC. Bobrisky’s ostentatious behavior raised eyebrows, prompting the financial crimes watchdog to summon him for questioning.

However, this isn’t the first time Bobrisky has allegedly engaged in such displays. According to sources, he has been spotted flaunting Naira notes at various event centers and parties on multiple occasions.

Earlier today, Bobrisky voluntarily presented himself at the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC. During the interrogation, he provided statements related to the incident. The Commission is now examining the evidence and will decide whether to press charges against the social media sensation.

As the investigation unfolds, Nigerians are closely following the case, eager to see how it will impact Bobrisky’s public image and legal standing. If found guilty, he could face legal consequences for his extravagant show of wealth.
