Nobody can split G-5, allies – Bode George

The Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Olabode George has proclaimed that nobody can break the rank of the G-5 governors and their allies who are protesting inequality and injustice in the opposition party.

He asserted that Aminu Tambuwal’s visit to Sam Ortom, who is a member of the Integrity Group, was in vain as no one can come between the G-5 governors.

Tambuwal, who had earlier been in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, told reporters after a private meeting with Ortom, that his mission was to confer with his colleague on the way forward on the crisis rocking the PDP.

The G5 governors have so far shunned the PDP presidential campaigns, insisting that they will not support Atiku, unless the national chairman, Senator Iyiorcha Ayu, resigns.

George said the aggrieved five governors and their allies have resolved to remain unmoved and stand by equity, fairness, and justice to the end.

George further described the presidential candidate, Atiku, as an insincere person, wondering how a person who cannot restructure his party should be promising restructuring to the whole country.

George asserted that he will not vote for him and also won’t stop talking until the injustice in the party is addressed.

The party elder alleged that certain forces in the PDP have been denying Yoruba its sense of belonging, adding that their promises at campaigns are illusive. He further lamented that Southwest has not filled the slot of national chairman in PDP since 1998.

George, however, stated that he is not fighting a personal battle but rather one of collective interest. Stressing that he is already an old man who is also a party elder.
