ADEWALE Adeyinka, product of Kwara Football Academy, is today, 14th of December 2022, marking his 25th birthday.
On his social media pages, the sensational goalkeeper wrote, “Gratitude to the Almighty God, I wish myself a Happy Birthday,”.
Adeyinka, who had also been capped for the Nigerian Under 17 national team, enjoyed his most productive career yet during the 2020/2021 NPFL season with 16 clean sheets to his name.
His record, which puts him as the only goalkeeper in the Nigerian professional football league history to have ever reached such a milestone, meant he was able to receive the gong for the best goalkeeper in the Nigeria league for the 2020/2021 season. The 25-year-old goalkeeper also won the NPFL title with Akwa United during his tremendous season before making the switch to his native state local football club, Kwara United.
As a sign he was moving in the right direction, the youngster was part of the Super Eagles’ 20-man squad list for the two friendly matches held against Mexico and Ecuador in May and June, respectively.
