Reliable sources from around the world have confirmed that DC Studios co-head James Gunn will be writing a new feature film about Superman.
As a background to our earlier story on Wonderwoman, the new changes in DC would also mean that Henry Cavill will not be returning as the superhero character.
“Peter & I have a DC slate ready to go, which we couldn’t be more over-the-moon about; we’ll be able to share some exciting information about our first projects at the beginning of the new year,” said James Gunn on his Twitter handle.
“Among those on the slate is Superman. In the initial stages, our story will focus on an earlier part of Superman’s life, so the character will not be played by Henry Cavill. But we just had a great meeting with Henry, and we’re big fans, and we talked about several exciting possibilities to work together in the future.” added the new Chief.
Reliable sources close to DC have also pointed out that Gunn, Cavill and co-president Peter Safran recently met to discuss on how Cavill may have other roles to play in the Universe comic book.
