Church inspired me to start music—Olamzzy


In an exclusive interview with Prestinegist, Olamilekan Solomon, professionally known as Olamzzy revealed that he developed interest in music in the church. He said, “church inspired me to start music”.

Olamzzy said he was a drummer in his church, however, his love for hiphop music is undiluted. “I was a choir member as a drummer. I learnt melody, key, voice and rhythm from our choirmaster but hiphop was my favorite genre of music then,” he said.

He revealed, “One day after a church program, I took my pen and started composing hip-hop music by applying rhythm and melody of our choir group learnt so far.”

He further explained, “ I started recoding freestyles, dropping it on TikTok till one day a freestyle made a few people to notice me.”

After the freestyle his brothers and godsends (Khappy and DJ Horlait) started working in and out to take him to the top of the came, however, through them he met some celebrities who also blessed him and promised to support him.

 

 

He revealed, “one fateful day Portable chatted me and promised to give me free verse on the song “Orin Hallelujah”. He fulfilled the promised. Not to forget he also promised to shoot the video for me which he will soon do as promised “Portable Mr Talk and do.”

 

He appreciated everyone who has been supporting him physically, financially, and spiritually; and promised to keep giving them the best.

He concluded that he is about to drop a single this December in fact a love song. “Watch out for my new hit title ”No Forget”.
