Abraysports FC Clinches 2024 AMAPRO Football Championship Title

 

In a thrilling conclusion to the 2024 AMAPRO Football Championship, Abraysports FC emerged victorious against the NPFL All-Stars, winning 7-5 in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in regular time.

The prestigious trophy was presented to the captain of Abraysports FC by Mallam Bola Mogaji, the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, who represented Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. Governor Abdulrazaq, the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, was unable to attend this year’s final due to another official commitment. However, he was present at last year’s edition.

The AMAPRO Championship Tournament, led by Mr. Shogo Shodunnke continues to grow in stature, with this year’s event being a resounding success. Governor Abdulrazaq extended his congratulations to Mr. Shodunnke and the organizing team for their exceptional efforts, acknowledging Shogo as a living legend in the world of football for his significant contributions to the sport.

Abraysports FC’s victory marks a successful title defense, with the team continuing to demonstrate their prowess on the field. Special commendations were given to Coach Abdulqoudri, one of the youngest and most promising football coaches in Kwara State, whose leadership has been instrumental in the team’s success.

Furthermore, the achievements of KFA products, Godwin Oshagbemi, crowned King of AMAPRO, and Usman, titled Prince of AMAPRO, were celebrated, highlighting the talent emerging from Kwara Football Academy.

As the curtain falls on this year’s tournament, the anticipation for the next edition builds, with hopes for continued progress in Kwara State sports.
