Tragedy Strikes in Badagry, Lagos as Woman and Son Allegedly Kill Boy Over Missing N1,000

A shocking incident has sparked outrage in Badagry, Lagos, after a 14-year-old boy, Testimony, was allegedly beaten to death by his guardians, a woman and her son, Chukwuemeka, over a missing N1,000 note.

According to eyewitnesses, the deceased was brutally beaten for several hours starting at 11 pm on Wednesday, until he succumbed to his injuries around 1 am on Thursday. Neighbours attempted to intervene but were unable to gain entry into the locked apartment.

The woman, who was the main suspect, reportedly called her prayer partners to pray for miracles before the boy finally passed away. The police arrived at the scene around 5:10 pm on Thursday and arrested the woman.

A disturbing video shared with our correspondent shows the lifeless body of the boy with severe bruises, covered with a cloth in the apartment.

The Lagos State Police Command has been contacted, but the spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, could not confirm the incident at the time of inquiry.

This tragic incident has raised concerns about child abuse and the need for greater protection for vulnerable children.
