Manchester City’s head coach, Pep Guardiola has barred England star Kavin Phillips, from playing for the club after the player returned overweight to the team.
According to the Spanish coach, Philip found it difficult to train properly due to his weight.
The disagreement over his ability to play with the rest of the squad came after the player was surprisingly excluded from the Manchester squad that faced Liverpool during the week.
While speaking to the Press ahead of their next EPL game, the coach said, “I don’t know why he is overweight. He didn’t arrive in the conditions to take part in training sessions and to play. That’s why he cannot play.”
