EL-RUFAI LEADS KASHIM IMAM’S FAMILY TO SEEK ATIKU’S DAUGHTER’S HAND IN MARRIAGE

ABUJA – In a significant social event, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar played host to the family of Kashim Imam, led by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai, at his Asokoro residence in Abuja on Wednesday.

The occasion was a formal request for the hand of Atiku’s daughter, Hafsat, in marriage to Kashim Imam. The visit was announced by AbdulRasheed Shehu, media aide to the former vice-president, in a statement.

According to the statement, several dignitaries attended the event, including National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, former governors Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, among others.

The statement described the gathering as “a testament to the esteem in which His Excellency Atiku Abubakar is held and the significance of the occasion.”
