Ben Ayade, the governor of Cross River State, broke down in tears during a program in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State.

POLITICS NIGERIA reported that the governor shed tears during Moses Bliss’ performance at the Calabar Night of praise, in 2022.

Apart from Bliss, another gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, also performed at the event.

The program was aired live on Holiday Channel on DStv/GOtv.

This is not the first time that the governor of Cross River State will break down in tears publicly. In May 2020, he shed tears during the inauguration of an anti-tax agency in his state.

While crying, the governor said: “I never knew that five years as governor, there would still be people living in thatched houses in Cross River State. I almost cried because I knew how prepared I was but it didn’t end the way I dreamt for the state. I wish God would intervene because I wish I could help. It’s very painful.”

He stated that if it pleases God, he should take his wealth so that other people in the state could be rich.
