Remo Stars Crashed Out Of CAF Champions League For The Third Time In a Row

Remo Stars SC have been crashed out of CAF champions league for the third time in a row after losing 2-0 to ASFAR of Morocco in Rabat.

The Sky Blue Stars had beaten their opponents 2-1 in Ikenne last weekend.

Because of a dubious penalty kick that was given to the Moroccan team, AS FAR won 3-2 overall and advanced to the next round.

Up until the damage was done, Remo Stars played mostly defense before going on the late attack.

Despite having virtually no shots on goal at halftime, Remo Stars’ score was 0-0.

The fortunate run came to an end in the 53rd minute when Joel Beya, the foreigner from Congo who scored the only goal for AS FAR in Ikenne on Sunday, scored a lob to chase Remo Stars once more.

The referee from Benin issued a penalty for shoving near the edge of the Remo Stars penalty box, putting the game in double peril.

Amine Zouhzouh converted the 80th-minute penalty kick.

Nigeria now have Rangers and Enyimba left on the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively.
