The governorship candidate of The All progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Bernard Odo was attacked by gunmen on Thursday night along Enugu/Abakaliki express road.
His media aide, Charles Otu, an eye witness of the incident told reporters that the driver was shot and was seriously injured and had been rushed to the hospital whose name was not disclosed.
Charles Otu said the attack was carried out by the miscreants when the contesting governor was returning from the party’s Campaign rally.
The media aide confirmed that the unknown gunmen suddenly rushed out of their hideout at the Rent House area along the Enugu/Abakaliki expressway.
