Tug of War between Seun Kuti and Mr. P,(PSquare) over Peter Obi

There is a heavy clash between two popular Nigerian Singers, Seun Kuti and Mr. P of Psquare over the presidential candidate of the Labour party (LP), Peter Obi.

Both artists have taken the issue to social media to exchange words over Peter Obi

The issue cropped up as a result of the online platform Mic on the podcast which was hosted by TV’s Seun Okinbaloye, Kuti said that only the people of Nigeria could save this country.

According to him, Peter Obi cannot save the country, he argued that Peter Obi is an opportunist.

He said the LP presidential candidate has not had the time because he started too late.

“You cannot be telling me that just because you lost PDP primaries 18 months before the election, you suddenly started a movement, and you have a plan for the country,” he added.

He further said, “No, that is opportunism. And it is not an opportunist that will deliver Nigeria- not jumping on Labour Party. The Labour Party has a socialist structure. Peter Obi is a capitalist. where are they going?”

However, Paul Okoye, known to be a staunch supporter of Peter Obi fired back saying that Seun Kuti has just erased his father’s history.

In a Twitter post, Okoye wrote, “Dude just quiet! So so disappointed!
You said only the people of Nigeria can save Nigeria! Are Peter Obi and the rest candidates not the Nigerian people?…. SHAME!SHAME!!SHAME!!!”
