Ebonyi PDP Governorship candidate expresses his condolence for his counterpart’s accident

The Ebonyi State PDP governorship candidate, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, has expressed his condolence to his opposition, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Francis Nwifuru who was involved in a motor accident, on Friday.

Francis Nwifuru was lucky to escape death when a truck crushed his convoy around the Amagu community, in the Abakali Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.

He was involved in the auto crash when he was returning from the Grand Finale of the All Progressive Congress campaign rally held at the Uburu community, Ohaozara local government, Ebonyi State.

Odii sympathized with the APC governorship candidate, he called upon all the Ebonyi citizens to be thankful to God that such an incident didn’t cost the loss of lives.

In his statement, he said: “We also commiserate with those who may have been injured in the ghastly accident that occurred yesterday along the Abakaliki Afikpo Federal Highway which the speaker escaped unhurt.

“We urge all Eboyians, especially candidates of various political parties to imbibe the spirit of decorum and decency as we all go out for the campaigns.

“We believe that only God gives power, and he does so to those whom he has chosen and favored.

“In PDP we believe in peace and unity. We are strongly convinced that no ambition is worth the life of any Eboyian.

“We urge all to respect traffic rules and consider the safety of other road users, even as we carry on with our electioneering activities”.
