Obi Datti Campaign Council has frowned at the absence of the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, at the Presidential debate on aircraft’s technical challenges.

The head of media of Obi Datti Campaign Council, Diran Onifade made this statement while explaining Obi’s absence at the Nigerian Elections Debate Group,(NEDG), in Abuja.

The Obi Datty campaign council explained that our presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, was not present at the debate as a result of the advice of the technical crew of the aircraft he was traveling in.

“After the engagement in Abuja, Ondo State, he meant to head to Abuja for the debate but was unable to attend the debate but was advised otherwise due to some technical issues with the aircraft which made the Pilot head to Lagos instead.

“It must be noted that in anticipation of Mr. Obi’s arrival, senior members of the campaign and the party had gathered at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, venue of the program.

“They included the Director General of the Campaign, Balogun Akin Osuntokun, Campaign Manager, Ambassador Oseloka Obaze, as well as Labour party functionaries, including Mrs. Esther Nenadi Usman and Alhaji Audi Mohammed”.
