Nigerian International striker, Odion Jude Ighalo was the hero for Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal Saudi as he helped them reach the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League following a 3-1 win over UAE side Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai.

Ighalo started his 5th game in the competition and his first since helping his Saudi side to history at the Club World Cup in Morocco.

The former Manchester United striker, however, needed just 17 minutes to fire his side ahead with a lovely step-over skill to go past his marker before striking home with his weaker foot to give his side a deserved 1-0 lead inside the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah, Qatar.

Korean International Hyun Soo Jang then doubled their lead in 73 minutes before Luciano Vietto made it 3-0 six minutes later.

Shabab then grabbed a consolation goal four minutes from time as Omar Kharbin pulled one back but Ighalo and his teammates held on for a 3-1 win and zoom into the quarterfinals.

Ighalo was replaced after 75 minutes and had a rating of 7.8, making 2 key passes and also completing 86% of his passes in the encounter.
