Nollywood superstar and actress, Laide Bakare has said Dubai and some other developed countries were not better than Nigeria when checking their histories.
On Monday, at Mushin Local Government during an interview with Pristinegist and other media platforms.
Laide Bakare was among the owners of different foundations that attended the “ Launching of First Government Bilateral Agreement Office in Mushin Local Government Area”.
During the interview, Laide Bakare explained that Nigeria is more blessed with natural resources than some developed countries good leaders and good people are the problems of the country.
“ If you study the history of Dubai and some other countries, they are not so better than us especially, in terms of natural resources; but with good leaders and good people coming together to help less privileged people the country will be better.”
She affirmed that if people in the country can come together with unity and love the country will be better socially and economically. “So if we (Nigerians) put our hands and souls together, we can also make that happen” she added.
She further said, “Government starts with you, I, and everyone. So, if we can begin to contribute our little quarters, the country will change in no time and it will be placed where everyone would want to be.”
However, she admonished, “ In this coming election, vote your best choice, do not vote because of money or gifts from anyone. If you love Nigeria and want Nugeri to be a better place and country for all, and also to stop the “Japa Syndrome”, whereby Nigerians fly out or leave the country. Vote for the right person.”
The energetic and multitalented actress revealed that she loves Nigeria and loves to be in Nigeria. She concluded, “ Nigeria is also one of the countries that do not have any sort of natural disaster. So, let us all make Nigeria a better place for all.”
