Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC), has declared Mallam Saliu Mustapha of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Kwara Central senatorial election.
Mallam has 109,823 votes to win over his opponent, Bolaji Abdullahi of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
However, Saliu won the four local government areas in the Senatorial district-claiming a difference of 40,675 votes from the PDP candidate.
Bolaji Abdullahi has total votes of 69,148 to become second while Dr. Ridwan Apaokagi of the Social Democratic Party(SDP) came a distant third in the February 25 election.
