Imo State Governor Uzodimma Sacks Commissioner For Labour And Productivity

The Imo state governor, Hope Uzodimma, has sacked Ford Ozumba, the Commissioner for Labour and Productivity.

The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, made this known to newsmen in Owerri, Imo State.

No reason was given for the sack of the commissioner. However, investigations revealed that Ozuba’s sack was due to the ongoing state-wide strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.

The strike has crippled the public power supply in Imo state.

Things fell more apart on Friday when Imo state traders staged a protest in front of the Imo government house.

The traders noted that they were ready to fight the National Chairman of NLC, Joe Ajero.

According to News Agency, Ajero had ordered a strike in Imo, alleging that the Imo state government was interfering in their NLC, state election.
