Some Commercial banks in Ilorin, Kwara State, have started paying out the old 500, and 1000 Naira notes to their customers in line with the directive of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
PRISTINEGIST, however, observed that the majority of the banks in Ilorin were paying a maximum of N10,000 of the old naira notes to their customers.
Also, certain commercial bus drivers (Korope and Napep) who operate on the majority of the main routes in Ilorin have begun to take old 500 and 1000 naira notes from passengers.
